Your screenshots stay on your Mac

The screenshots you drop in, the images you use as backgrounds or watermarks, and everything you export are processed on your Mac. FeatureFrame doesn’t upload them anywhere, and we never see them.

Images you add as backgrounds or watermarks, and your settings, are saved in FeatureFrame’s own folder on your Mac so they’re there next time. Deleting the app deletes them.

You don’t need an account, and FeatureFrame doesn’t ask for your name or email.

Purchases

Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never receive your card details or Apple Account.

To know whether you have Pro, FeatureFrame uses RevenueCat, a service that checks App Store purchases. When the app starts, RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID that it makes up for your Mac, your App Store purchase records, the app version, your macOS version and your App Store country. The ID isn’t your name or Apple Account, and RevenueCat gets nothing about your screenshots. The plans shown when you choose Get Pro are loaded from RevenueCat as well.

When you email us

Feature requests and bug reports open an email in your own mail app, to hello@featureframe.com. We see what you send, and use it only to reply and to improve FeatureFrame.

This website

featureframe.com uses Google Analytics to count visits: the pages you open, the site you came from, your browser and device type, and your rough location from your IP address. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. You can block them in your browser, or with Google’s opt-out add-on, and the site works just the same.

The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs, and its fonts come from Google Fonts. Both see your IP address when your browser loads a page.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.

Children

FeatureFrame isn’t made for children and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Since your screenshots never leave your Mac, deleting FeatureFrame removes everything it kept. To ask about the purchase records RevenueCat holds, or to have them deleted, email us and we’ll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
